Who out there really thinks that playing an instrument (like a flute, trumpet, etc.) is really an art? Like playing in classical symphonies or in jazz bands is really turly an art?

I think that if you put passion into any peice of music, and add your own "style" to it, it becomes art. It doesn;t have to be in a band, but if it comes from the heart, it is def. art.

definately
math, science, history n such all require a process.
forming music is an art.
playing an instrument is a free-form skill that has no boundaries.
thus, it is deigned an art.
its the same thing as painting or drawing
no one has to tell you what to play, as there are propeties in math.
making music is just painting audially

technicly, it is an art.
but i dont think it is an art unless u make your own music, instead of playing someone elses

well, i play the clarinet... but i dont think its art unless you create ur own music...
