I've recently started Irish set dancing classes, which won't be starting up again until the fall. In the meantime, some of my classmates and I have decided to have our own informal gatherings until then.

Essentially, I'm looking for some good music to use when we get together to dance. Something I could find on CD or in a downloadable mp3 format (ie, someting on iTunes or a similar site) would be preferable since I don't know what type of media player will be available (ie, computer, tape deck, CD player, etc) and a digital format is the most versitle.

Please, I am only looking for advice from people who are familiar with set dancing and ceili music. Thank you very much in advance for your assistance.

I'd like to get involved with music either as a manager for music artists or some sort of job in a recording studio where i could travel alot and hear music and discover new talents but i have no knowledge of that kind of thing so someone who knows about it please tell me how u get into a recording studio, what colleges u would go to, etc...

My sister is getting married and at her bridal shower we are going to show a slide show. I need a good song to play with the slideshow. something sweet, heart felt, -- any genre really, but the most important thing to me is the lyrics! the song can be fast, slow, new old, doesn't matter! I know this sounds funny or stupid, but here it goes. You know those head set that people who are directing the airplanes or working in construction wear to block the loud noise. Does any one know what they are called? Because I am looking for something similar to buy. I live in apartment with young siblings and it is very noisy for me to study. I can’t pay attention. I can’t go to a quit room and the library is very far away. I think that is the only thing that can help me. So, PLEASE, does anyone know what they are called and which brand or what ever is the best on blocking the noise?
