I've asked at two different Walmarts, a Sam's store, and a blockbuster, but nobody has Nightmare Before Christmas on DVD. At Walmart they said they didn't have it in YET. Is there some certain day that stores are supposed to get it?

Now I know the probably answer is that because in it's 1982 release it totally bombed at the cinema.

But over the last 25 years it had gained such a status and is now constantly appearing in top 10 film lists, so why doesn't Ridley Scott back up his statement from the mid 90's and explore the idea of a sequel?

Does anyone remember a show about a mansion, haunted by the ghost of a murdered handicap child named Joseph? I think it was from the late 70's/early80's. This couple was trying to find a reason for the houses ghostly activity. If I remember right, a boy was kept locked up in the attic of the mansion by his father, who was ashamed of having a disabled child. The father went as far as adopting a surrogate boy to take Josephs place. This couple stumbled on the truth that the boys father shoved him down a flight of stairs in his wheelchair; killing him. I remember a lot of scenes where the films camera mimicked the movements of the ghost floating around the inside of the mansion; and the ghost whispering "JOSEPH" over and over. The movie ended with the mansion burning down, and Joseph can be heard giggling amongst the rubble.
