The other night I watched a Lifetime movie called "Mom at 16". With a title like that, you wouldn't think the movie would be throwing any curve balls, would you? And yet, I could not get myself to stop watching! Why, Lifetime, why???

I think it may be because most of us can identify with at least one character in the movie....then they have those 5-10 minutes worth of commercials, so you can put in a load of laundry or something and not miss anything, so they are convenient. (The never-ending commercials ARE annoying, that's why I do other things during them.)
Mostly I watch to the end cause I wanna see the evil "whoever" (insert character) get their just deserts! I root for the good guy (usually the woman, but sometimes not) to overpower the villain and burn their bed or smash up their car, or whatever....
One might say, we enjoy living vicariously...we enjoy the justice without the risk of being arrested for it!
And don't you just hate it when you fall asleep during the set of commercials just prior to the climax???

LoL@falling asleep during the climax. I ALWAYS end up falling asleep at a really good lifetime movie. I mean I'll be really into it, but it's usually something I caught when I was sleepy, so I never end up finding out what happens to the characters. Lifetime is funny. Even though woman get beat, knocked up, killed, raped, kidnapped it somehow still suprising! I love how the same woman are in these mini movies. It's always Judith Light, Nia Peeples, Valerie Bertenelli, Tracey Gold, etc. It's nice to know someone else is just as addicted.

It's a female thing. Every female I know has the same problem. Looking through the channel guide & you come across a "different" kind of title so you look up the info on it. You figure I'll just watch 10 minutes of it to see what it's like. Then suddenly the movie is ending and you realize you watched the whole darn thing...... Boom time gone. They're good like that....

LMAO it quite is humorous which you asked this by way of fact the previous few nights, i've got been checking to confirm if there are any sturdy video clips on Lifetime and/or Oxygen. i admire the guy-haters channel. LOL

Because they are dramatic, like soap operas. Ok, not as dramatic, but they have twists and plots which are suprising and the storylines are not too hard to follow. The plot topics are interesting and sometimes they address real issues.

because Lifetime is all about men doing women wrong, and women getting revenge. women like to see men get theirs. plus i think they put subliminal messages in their shows.
