When you look at a home movie, or a video shot using a camcorder, there is a distinct look to it. On the other hand, when you look at a hollywood movie, particularly those focused on cinamatography (i.e. Saving Private Ryan, Kill Bill), they look EXTREMLEY different.

I'm wondering, why do these two look so drastically different? Is it the fact that on is digital whereas one is shot on film? Or the framerate? What are the biggest contributing factors to what aspects of the shot?

i have to write a paper for one of woody allen's movies. i saw the purple rose of cairo, and i liked it. then i saw celebrity and annie hall. i'm going to watch "Everybody says I love YOU" later.

what else do you guys recommend? and why do you think it's good.

please don't just give me a list of his movies that you found on some website, because i all ready have a list, i just dunno which one is best.

I know the movie had two young actors in it, and I THINK the actress playing the deaf woman was really deaf, although I'm not sure. I believe the lead actor playing her romantic interest was(and maybe is) a name actor, and I'm pretty sure the lead actress was more along the lines of a flash-in-the-pan. I know a scene had them swimming together, she may have been teaching him how to swim. Both leads were probably in their early twenties. When I try to think of the title, the words "blue" and "moon" come to mind, but I've done searches with both words and have come up with nothing. Any help here would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

yup they are all block busters, so i think its going to be war, you see spiderman comes out first and that will make alot of money, but 2 weeks later shrek comes out, and that will start stealing money from spiderman, but i dont think too much, and then 2 days later pirates of the caribbean 3 (predicted by me) will steal tons from both movies.
what do you guys think?
i personally vote for pirates as the summer blockbuster
not only because i like it better, but also because of the
date its coming out



p.s. harry potter comes out in july, and it has no big competition like the other 3 movies, so im sure it will do great, and also this is the movie i am the most excited to see

but anyways back to the may war
