I know the movie had two young actors in it, and I THINK the actress playing the deaf woman was really deaf, although I'm not sure. I believe the lead actor playing her romantic interest was(and maybe is) a name actor, and I'm pretty sure the lead actress was more along the lines of a flash-in-the-pan. I know a scene had them swimming together, she may have been teaching him how to swim. Both leads were probably in their early twenties. When I try to think of the title, the words "blue" and "moon" come to mind, but I've done searches with both words and have come up with nothing. Any help here would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

There was a movie with a young Keifer Sutherland that sounds like it. He was a rich eccentric and he falls in love with a deaf girl. He dressed like it was the 1920's and drove a motorcycle with a side car. At the end of the movie she wants to go to europe alone so he drives his motorcycle out on the runway to say that he's okay with her going. I think it had the word moon in the title but I can't remember the rest. It was sometime in the 80's. If this helps I remember he used to take pictures of dog poop.
