i have seen this film on tv within the last ten years. the film seems as if you are watching the tv news broadcasts as it happens. the earth is being contacted by aliens, which we interpret as a hostile threat, we retaliate, and the aliens attack us . cant think what the title was , there was no one famous in it that i know of .

If so where can I buy it from?!?
As you might have seen from a previous question of mine, I have bought a copied version from eBay - Did it actually get released in the UK on DVD? I know you can get it at Amazon.com (USA) but who is to say they aren'y copied either?!?

You probably know that spell, sound like "Anall nathrach, oorfas bethud, dorhiel dienvay"... I'd like to know if John Boorman found it somewhere and put it in the film, or if it was made up for the film.

Answers found from independent research and pointing to a text in "old Irish" seem contrived and wrong, not to mention that the pronunciation in the film is not compatible with the Irish language.

I am 16, turning 17 in 4 months. My parents dont want me to get this movie because they say its full of curses and stupid immature people. Its not like I havent heard those curses before. I rented the movie on Netflix like 3 months ago and I really enjoyed it. I am definitly buying it when Im 17 so its legal for me to buy it. But I want to buy it now. Help please?!
