I like the older horror flicks, like Jaws, Exorcist, Silence of the Lambs.
Exorcism of Emily Rose, that's a scary one too. Gave me the creeps.

I think it is impossible to select the best horror flick. It is however easy to pick the worst, but thats not what your asking for. Anyway I will give a couple of my personal favourites:
-Halloween
-Texas Chainsaw Massacre
-Saw
-Freddy Vs Jason

the original exorcist, scary as sh**...and recently the grudge..i didn't sleep for weeks..really... grudge 2 is coming out soon, can't wait!

HOSTEL, Wolf Creek, and HIgh Tension those r the best they're also based on true events if you haven't seen it i prefer you go and buy them and see them.......................

HOUSE OF WAX!!!!!!!!You have to see it.The mad guy dips people in wax while they're still alive.It's horrible!
