What did/do your parents do for a living and did they enjoy it?

Dad was a jointer's mate for NEEB (North Eastern Elecrtricity Board) and Mam was a housewife and community volunteer.

Yes, I think they did enjoy their lives.

I've decided that the best way to get one is to scroll through old questions and look for ones over a day old that has no answers. If it's a good question, I'll answer it if it has fewer than five answers.

Is it more interesting to live your own life or to watch other people's on the telly?

I'm thinking of Big Brother and other 'reality' shows. Do the avid viewers really find them so much more interesting than viewers' own lives, and if so doesn't this trouble them?
