I've decided that the best way to get one is to scroll through old questions and look for ones over a day old that has no answers. If it's a good question, I'll answer it if it has fewer than five answers.
It's worked so far, two of those questions have rewarded me already.

Once you get to level 6 it really doesn't matter anymore. I should hope. Gazing at percentages never helped anyone. Seen as you're at level 5 already, how come you still haven't realised the pointlessness of this site's points?

Not really. Getting Best Answers is like an extra thing I get from answering peoples questions and letting boredom pass. It's actually a good way to do so.

I only answer questions where I know I can give a good answer. Also, subjective answers are not very good to answer as its all to do with the point of view of the questioner and not down to correct facts.

I tend to answer the less answered questions too. Also I try to make sure I know the facts or have had personal experience.

I only answer questions that I think I know the answer to.
Then I explain in full detail and try to give any background information that I think might be usefull.

i just answer honestly, try to help
what i usually find is that people who pick the best answer just pick it cos it's what they want to hear eg, how much access should i give my ex husband? so they pick the answerer who said an hour cos they want to justify themselves
