Nope, my parents raised all 3 of us and our brother too, to think with our own heads and to know what is right and what is wrong and that is better to be alone than in bad marriage.

My mother, and grandmother raised me to be who I am, and to stand up for what I believed in, no matter what. Sure they raised me, teaching me how to do things, around the house, like cooking, cleaning, and giving me the common sense on how to fix things.
Mainly, they raised me to do what I thought was right, and not what everyone else tells me, of what they think is right.

Nope my mom believes in the feminist ideal and will take advantage of it if it serves her purpose. I am, because I am; it's a part of my being. No one else in my family is like this. Religion and where I hang my hat has nothing to do with it; meaning I don't waste my time in seeking out excuses and or reasons; did that been there, came to a dead-end.

My mom raised me, both my sisters, and my three brothers to be good Catholics.
Now that you ask, she never mentioned a husband.
She did however, mention being a nun. Which did not happen, obviously.

My mom raised me to be an intelligent, independant woman, who thinks of others before herself, who treats others with kindness and respect, who is willing to help where needed, who will stand up for those who are being suppressed, who is open-minded and optimistic, who loves fiercely and passionately, who is creative and logical at the same time. My mom gave me all the best of herself, and that which she was denied.
Thank you, mom, for everything you've given me. I love you!

Hubby and I do all we can for each other because we want to. Obedience and duty have nothing to do with it.

Actually yes she and my dad both raised me like that. My father is now deceased but my mother still adheres to those beliefs. You can tell her thank you if you like.
