why does rap music get such a bad rap?

Im tired of turning on the news and everyone acting like rap music is the reason for everything bad in our society. Ok it might have a small influence but its not the reason a guy shoots up a college or calls a womens basketball team nappy head hoes. When i listen to rap and i hear the word ***** or hoe i dont think he is talkin to all women i just think he is talking to the ***** he is talkin to male or female.
