I am truely puzzled as to why so many things went wrong in the movie. I saw the movie before I read the books and thought it was awesome then, but now it seems ridiculus. I'm not sure how they can even make Eldest now. Or how will the make it make sense? any one else feel the same?

a combined obituary/ad for their worldly possessions? Like this: So-and-so died on March 3, 2007 and he leaves a sprawling 3,000 sq. ft. home valued at $150,000, open house on Sunday....and then the address. My wife thinks this is in poor taste to ask, I think you cut to the chase this way because the way our society is becoming so materialistic and money-hungry.

Poor George The Pink Fat Hippo (aka George or GTPFH) is dead.

GTPFH was a top answerer here. She used to ask humerous nonsensical questions and brightened this place up a lot.

Today she was suspended after somehow getting to level 7 and gaining 40,000 points, purely on nonsense questions.

She was very popular (i still lov her). Do you think the suspension was deserved?

Compared to Interview With A Vampire, Queen of the Damned doesn't come to close. It is a really, really bad movie adaptation of the novel. Was it just because that Aaliyah died suddenly that the movie did well at the box office?

* I mean no disrespect towards Aaliyah and to her fanbase; even though I never cared for her music it still is very tragic that she passed away so young.

My valiant 6 year old, tackled and punched a boy, who threw a rock at a GIRL in his class.

Problem. . the boy my son clobbered is the principals son.

So I was called into the office to deal with it, but when I heard the details I gave my boy a hi five and said that it was okay because he defended someone who couldn't fight back. .

The principal was not pleased.

He asked what I was going to do, and I said that although I don't condone violence I was proud of my son's heroic action, and if his son wasn't such a bully that there would have been no altercation to begin with.

So he suspended my son for a day for fighting, and gave his own kid detention for throwing the rock.

So I am taking the day off to play miniature golf with my superhero son tomorrow. (Who knows next time to tell a teacher before he jumps in)

I don't think I was wrong in defending my son, but what do you think?
