I'm not quite sure of the date, but it was in the 70's. It is about a young boy working on a West Texas ranch in a modern time period. I don't remember the boy's name, but one scene was a man with rabies.( not a sci-fi ) My wife and I saw it at a drive-in theater. ( The title may be a little different )

My ornery husband played a prank on me, how can I get him back?
