I seem to remember that the human torch suffered a case of SHC (spontanious human combustion, the thing died from bizare cancers, MR Fantastic could not maintain any skeleton or musculature and died (not sure how...) and sue disapeared never to be heard of again. I dont think it was Marvels but it was something like that ( kingdom come maybe?)
