which comic book had alternate history of the fantastic 4. in which they all died?

I seem to remember that the human torch suffered a case of SHC (spontanious human combustion, the thing died from bizare cancers, MR Fantastic could not maintain any skeleton or musculature and died (not sure how...) and sue disapeared never to be heard of again. I dont think it was Marvels but it was something like that ( kingdom come maybe?)

The first thing that came to mind for me was "What If" title, it took stories and changed one detail and showed what would happen, like what if the punisher had been in that church when spiderman got rid of the symbiote, the only thing is, it is a marvel title.

That actually sounds a bit like one of the early John Byrne Superman stories. There were four astronauts aboard a space shuttle that were affected by radiation. The girl vanished, the kid vaporized, the strong guy had a chunky body composed of junk and crud, clods of dirt and bits of scrap metal . He couldn’t stand it any more, so he stepped into the magnetic field of an MRI machine, which tore the metal out of him and killed him. The last guy (Hank Henshaw) went on to become the Cyborg Superman following the Death of Superman story. So you might want to check that out, too.

I recall it, but its been done a few times. there was a house of m story but that was the opening sequence and the thing survived.
The superman take was also just after his ff4 run.l The one I remember was the nmid 90's ongoing revivial of what if, where reed richards had to walk around in this metal exo-skeleton to keep his body together. it was a run of dark what if's you should ifnd in any bargain bin
