When you are a member of SAG (Screen Actors Guild) which is the union that governs actors, you can change your acting name, but you cannot take the name someone else has already used...
So there will never be two film actors with the same name...

He was also on a short lived UPN show called "Haunted" about a police detective that had a near death experience & came back with the ability to see/hear ghosts....it was cancelled after 7 episodes 'cause it was definitely ahead of its time....now you can't swing a stick without hitting a show with a supernatural plot....
