there's a Christmas song i keep hearing at work. i don't know the name of it, or who sings it.

i only remember such lines as: The Holly-berries and sweet Jesus Baby.

the woman who sings it has such a sweet sound in her voice, and sweet melody to go with it.

please help me, i need to find it.

I hate the commercials where they're all like, making fun of country people and i hate it when tv shows air in texas and they do the STEREOTYPICAL hillbilly tune like all texans are hillbillys! ack! it's not like evryone in texas is stupid or talks stupid or listens to country! I mean, i *HEART* country, but it's not like it's the only thing texans listen to! gosh.... what tv shows or commercials do you hate?!!

To you, was it funny, offensive, illuminating, etc., all or none of the above?

(My own opinion is that some of the humor worked, and that SB Cohen is very talented, but I don't believe that this movie was a good satire, or that it discovered anything of real value - as so many people and reviewers claim it does)

Whilst I absolutely love the music itself but I am SOOOOO tired of the lyrics, images and videos. Many of the lyrics seem to be the musing of 18 year old males. The typical themes are:
I have more money than you
I want sex - and lots of it
I want to kill you
I have more money than you
I want sex - and lots of it
I want to kill you


What messages does this send out to young people? The ostentatious display of wealth is so far removed from so many of the fans that it is ridiculous. The portrayal of women - especially black women is scandalous - I know very few women who act like hte women on their videos. I also notice that if the song glorifies women in any way then a white or lighter skinned woman is used (Pharrel's Angel forexample). It's so messed up.
Does anyone feel the same? Or am I a lone voice?

#1-A man in Kenya for a Holiday found a young elephant hurt. The man removed the rock stuck in its knee. The elephant stared at him, and man thought he was about to be trampled. Elephant trumpets and ran away. 5 years later, at the zoo, man sees an elephant that looked as the same one he helped. jumps over the fence and looks elephant in eye. The elephant looks back, and trumpets the same way the young one had. The man reached out to pet elephant, and the elephant put its head forward...grabbed the man with its trunk and threw him to ground, killed him
probably not same elephant.


#2-An Arab had run out of water in the desert. He see a Jewish man selling ties. He ask, "Do u have water?" reply="Have no water. want a tie? $5!" Arab shouts "Idiot! Israel shouldnt exist! I dont need a tie. need water! I should kill you, but must find water first" Jew man-"Go over hill and find diner. There is water there" Arab left Comes back hours later still thirsty, says "i cant get in w\o a tie."
