Where can I find scores or transcriptions for contemporary music (Jazz, Blues, R&B, etc...) that are like the original recordings?

I'm teaching myself how to play piano (I know I should get a teacher..lol) I've made great strides but now I hit a wall. I can't progress as much as at first. I want to study the music and all its parts, the instruments, how they play with one another etc... Just like the way they do it in classical music. Where the composer tells you exactly what he wants you to play.

It seems that in contemporary styles (open to improv as they are) they only give you suggestions in the form of lead sheets, or progressions, with maybe a simple melody. Unfortunately for a novice its very difficult to navigate through this maze by his or herself. If they lack the technical experience and ability to harmonize they just wont be able to do it.

The reason why I'm asking is because I can't find decent scores out there of contemporary music. All Im getting is this hal....

One day a poor farmer doesn't have anything to give his son for his birthday. So he gives his only son a duck because that's all he had and tells him to go into town to see what he can get for it. The first person he sees is a hooker, he goes up to her and says says "its my birthday and all I have is this duck" she replied that she felt so sentimental about birthday's so they had sex. She was so impressed by him that she offered to let him keep the duck if they could have sex again, so he agreed. On the way home the duck suddenly flew out of the boys arms and gets hit by a beer truck and the driver feels bad for the kid so he gives him 2 dollars. When the kid got home his dad asked "well how'd you make out?" he replied "well I got a duck for a ****, a **** for a duck and 2 bucks for a ****** up duck."

How old do you think is Too Old?

I've had to go the last few years because my son will use the excuse that he's too old ( he was only 12). I know that his Real Reason is because he didnt have a friend to go with. So low and Behold I wound up going dressing up ( at 40 yrs old lol) to get him to go. and of course he wound up enjoying it. Now that he's met some new friends he hasn't used the Too Old excuse anymore.

and No I didnt ask for candy! lol

Two engineering students meet on campus one day. The first engineer calls out to the other, "Hey nice bike! Where did you get it?" "Well," replies the other, "I was walking to class the other day when this pretty, young coed rides up on this bike. She jumps off, takes off all of her clothes, and says 'You can have anything you want!'" "Good choice," says the first, "her clothes wouldn't have fit you anyway."
