I was more nervous than I had ever been before. I was just minutes away from one of the most important moments in my life…seconds away from the moment that decided my future. Thoughts soared through my mind as my long slender body sunk deeper into my new leather desk chair. The quiet ticking of the clock on my desk began devour my confidence, and I sat trembling with excitement, or was it fear? Today at 9:45am, I could (finally) officially refer to myself as a psychiatrist. Today at 9:45am, a young girl name Ari Love would walk through my office door, and help me discover if psychology is my “calling.”
It was 9:42am, and I sat, imagining the kind of case Ari would bring to me. Seconds later my secretary paged my phone. “Lana, a Miss Ari Love is here to see you, should I send her back?”
