Ok.. hopefully i get this plot right. I believe the movie was about a nuclear war. They figured the fallout radius and decided Australia was safe. Some time later a crew came back by submarine to find out if the fallout had cleared. That's all I remember other than riots and people making peace with the end of their time.

Someone I work with mentioned the 'Hippie Dippy Weather Man' this week, and its been driving me crazy that I can't remember very much of it. There's something in the spiel about baseball (basketball?) scores, and something about "the world breathes a little easier today as -----more countries have signed the nuclear test ban treaty....." Well something like that anyway.

A man is given a certain amount of time to get exactly 4 gallons of water. He is at a water fountain, left with only a three gallon jug and a five gallon jug. Time is running out. How can he come up with the 4 gallons using only the water and the two jugs given to him? To make it more challenging, what movie did I get this from?
