There is this song that's been on the radio recently, the hiphop station to be exact. My brother blasts it through into my room, and I hear this song ALL THE TIME, so it must be a fairly recent track. I can't make out what the lyrics are saying, but part of the chorus has one melody followed by a long creschendoed D followed by four C sharps, the same happens again, followed by the first melody, then twice more, in an ABBABB pattern of phrases. The singer seems to be using a short oooo sound as part of the word on the D. The verses of the song is rapped(I think). I really want to know what this tune is called.

I just asked ten trick questions using lyrics from the following artists:

And I am a little surprised at the amount of people who have no idea of these fabulous musicians. Granted, maybe I should have asked these questions in the music category, and yes, all these artists have been around for a long time, and who knows the ages of some people on here, but I am 26 and I grew up on all this stuff. I do listen to new music occasionally, but of course I don't have as much time for it as I did as a teenager.

Anyway, does anybody listen to this stuff anymore and do you think more young people should learn to appreciate more of it?
