They say that a leopard can never change its spots, but not true. My fella was a drug addict for some 20 years before we got together, it took the love of a good woman (me!), three years, a lot of heartache/debt/fighting etc, but he finally got clean when I eventually left him and moved out, in an effort to get me back. Which worked.
Although we're not together now, for totally different reasons, he's never gone back on drugs.
So although Dougherty comes across as an absolute d***head and waste of space, who knows? He may surprise us all. Wish him luck. x
