You are trying to open a new e-mail account with the same name.
Even if you cancel an e-mail account the account will stay active for something like 48 days after you last used it.. if it is not used for about 48 days it is automatically cancelled..after that time you can open a new account with the same name.
You can open an account with another name in the meantime and continue surfing.
Remember not to use the account for about 48 days.

It is so because, some one might have logged in with the same user name before u. Try a new user name....
