I learned some time ago that the above Alice Sebold novel is to be made into a film. Any sign of a release date? Knowing my luck, it's probably been and gone, and I've therefore missed it.

The characters are superficial and stereotypical, the story seems lacking in some important areas, and most of all, it's just one tiny film in the expansive genre of "beautiful, f*cked-up girl that everyone seems crazy about for no reason whatsoever."

So, why does everyone keep telling me this is such a great film?

There was a blonde driving her car, by surprise she looked at her rear view mirro and, there was a police car with there lights on wanting to stop her. So she pulled over and waited for the police officer to approach her. She viewes a tall blonde poice woman. The police woman said; Hello mam, do you know that you were speeding?
