So I have an idea for a black tv show.
It is a cross between hill street blues and barney miller.
serious/comedy
where the main character is a black guy. cop. working on anti-gang group. and it discusses how bad gangs are. shows the issues with gangs. to try and teach kids to stay out of gangs.

it could be on wb/upn type station?
any thoughts?

Even though it was a different era and in the Midwest, this movie reminds me of days gone by. My favorite is when the old man wins his "major award", the fishnet stocking clad electric lamp and it horrifies his wife when he displays it in the front window of their house. What's yours? I can't remember what station, or the name of the show (thinking it was either one of the nightly news' or Sunday Morning).

The reporter would throw a dart at a map of the U.S. to pick a city, then randomly select someone in the phone book to interview. It was always interesting!

Anyone know? Is it still on? What channel and when?
