What is the best brand of guitars and strings to get if I'm trying to tap solos?

I'm having trouble getting good tapping sounds out of my equipment. I'm using a Fender Standard Fat Strat, and I'm running it through a basic Frontman 25 amp. I have the drive on, and the volumes is pretty high, somewhere around 8, which is EXTREMELY loud if you so much as blow on the strings. I'm tapping around the 12 fret of the B and high E string and the sound is really quiet. Those two strings are still the same gauge and thickness as they were when I got the guitar. Would changing those two strings to thicker ones with a bigger gauge be of any help?

Why do celebrities take more of an interest in helping children overseas than children in the United States?

It seems that a lot of celebrities (most notably Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie) are always helping children overseas when we have hungry and sick children in the USA as well as children in need of adoption.

Any one huge David Bowie fans like me?

I absolutely posetively love David Bowie, i can never ever get enough of him. I currently have 300 pictures of David on my computor. My collection is small but is growing. Unfortunaltly I have never been to one of his concerts, but i hope to go to one at some point (like when i get the money to).
my mother says that I was born in the wrong generation because i listen to David Bowie, The Beatles, The Monkees,John Lennon,etc and Im not even very far into high school.
I also dont listen to new music,almost never, if I can Ive got the radio on the oldies rock station
