Go get today's newspaper. Read the front page and realize that every day people experience problems far worse than anything you are going through.
Next, thank God for the blessings you have received.
If you're still depressed, try some vigorous exercise. There's nothing like a good "endorphin high" to chase away the blues.
YOU are in charge of your attitude. It makes all the difference. See the poem "Attitude" by Charles Swindell...you can find it at the web page, below:

Read a funny book. Watch a clean funny tv
show (like the Cosby family). Watch an upbeat
religious show on tv (like Joel Olestein), listen to
music you really like. Ask a friend to do something
fun with you (bowl, putt-putt, swim, go for ice-cream),
do something for someone else (makes you feel good
about yourself), fix up something you like to eat in the
kitchen, lay in the sun and try to see what clouds
remind you of, join an exercise class. All these things
might make you forget about yourself being down in
the dumps.

Take a vitamin B 12 and then sit in a hot bath surrounded by candles and music. Next dress in your best sleepwear and watch a comedy show or movie. After which go to bed knowing things will better tomorrow. Night.

Take a hot shower, if you have a pet play with him/her, get a camera and take funky shots like a fork up close or something. *hug* hope your depression doesn't make you too unhappy! :( (some people on answers make me irritable too.)

Go for a casual walk or exercise, because exercise releases endorphins into the brain which makes you feel good.

You could... put on a song that depresses you a bit... and then after that, put on a song that makes you happy, and think of something that makes you happy while the song's playing. That normally works for me. =]
