I am not sure about the use of a comma in this sentence, and cannot find what I'm looking for online. In this sentence..."Our audience should judge themselves not by asking, “Am I better than an another person,” but rather “Am I better than I used to be?
Should the comma after "person" in the first set of quotes - since it is a break in the sentence rather than the quote itself, be after the quotation mark, or before - as it is here??

Rather confusing question, but I don't know how else to say it. I hope it's clear enough...

Thank you for your help!! Very appreciated...

The defintion of sad I am looking for is not the "depressed" kind of sad, but the kind of sad someone would call someone else for doing something, or knowing something alot. I am not sure how to explain it, but I hope you know what I mean!
Thanks.

I know "with the exception of" means "except", what about "within the exception of"?
The original scentence is:
“Within the exception of damages to life, health and body; the liability of Pharmaplan is limited, in all cases, to 50% of the engineering fee cntracted.”
What place does it use? Can any one paraphrase it?
Thank you so much!
