I've looked around the web and it seems that both refer to "the basic rhythmic unit in poetry" or a "pattern of unstressed and stressed syllables." i hope that they are not the same thing (i doubt they are) because i have an exam on these terms and both are on the exam, and it'll be kinda hard to identify something as meter or foot if i don't know the difference. thanks!

Does the correct form of the verb change if we say "There is more than two cookies" or "There are more than two cookies"? It seems like everything after "more" should be irrelevant, but it doesn't sound right unless the verb matches. If you know the answer, please explain.

Do you have a favorite word or just a word that seems really funny? My favorite word is Metal. But some other great words are Goble-de-**** and Hoble-de-Hoy... and Shoo-Fly pie. These were actually in the dictionary.
