For example, failing to capitalize I's, using "plz" for "please", "ppl" for "people", or omitting simple punctuation. I'm not talking typos here, I'm talking the things everybody learns in grade school. It's all very well to have a spell checker or grammar checker, but it's no substitute for readable typing. Am I the only one that gets ticked when the typing is not legible?

I read these song lyrics with the phrase "getting off" by an Australian band. I'm an American, and for me, this phrase would have a sexual meaning. Is there another meaning in Australian English?

Okay, I want you to write me another story. The same rules apply. Write the words from the list in bold (or I won't consider you for Best Answer), they don't have to be in order, use each word ONLY ONCE each, have fun and be creative!!

Here are the words:

Airport
Bubblegum
Paintbrush
Rabbit
Hippopotamus
Rose
Backpack
Jail
Suspenders
Frog Legs

No crude jokes or remarks. Please and thank you!

as far as i know, an 'e' or 'i' following a 'c' produces the 's' sound. yet the word 'sceptic' (1. [n] someone who habitually doubts accepted beliefs.) is pronounced like 'skeptic'.

this should not to be confused with the word 'septic' (1. [a] containing or resulting from disease-causing organisms; "a septic sore throat"; "a septic environment"; "septic sewage". 2. [a] of or relating to or caused by putrefaction; "the septic action occurs at the bottom of the septic tank)

can anyone please explain the reason why the exception for the normal rule of the 'ce/ci' as an 's' sound?

Here is the sentence: "MassBay had no music or art programs whatsoever, minus the ____ courses needed to have a degree in Interior Design." I am looking for a negative adjective because the classes to get a degree -could- be considered artsy, like Architectural Drawing for Interior Design, but they're not what I'm looking for. Help!!
