Meeting a friend for lunch at Holburn tube because it's equidistant for both of us. Does anyone know anywhere nice to go for lunch around there - not too expensive, but not just a coffee shop/deli either?
NB We're both vegitarians.

I would be grateful for any serious suggestions here! I live in Glasgow and have a friend coming from Austria for the weekend, on Friday. I really don't know city centre restaurants that are good but not crazily expensive, (no chinese or indian suggestions please - Ive overdosed on them!). So I need suggestions for nice restaurants to go to, and also some pubs that aren't full of 18 yr olds, not that I have anything against them lol but at 42 Id prefer somewhere a bit calmer and older :) I also have some mobility problems and would be interested to hear of any suggestions for a touristy place to take my guest!
Thankyou in advance for your replies

I'm doing a London/Leeds thing for my Key Skills work, and need to know how much it would cost. Just an average price, or something like that.

I'm looking for the equivalent of afternoon tea at The Ritz, but more local to Cambridge, as a 30th birthday present. Price £15-£30 per person, something very posh and traditional for a real treat.

I am considering arranging a private dinner party at either Seaham Hall or Matfen Hall. Does anyone have any expereince with either or both? If not any other suggestions for a very good restaurant with a private room large enough for 16-20 people in the Newcastle upon Tyne area?

The liquid butter that is so delicious in US cineams isn't available in any UK cinema chain I know of. The multiplexes copy a lot of things from the US, so why not this tasty treat?
