Is this a proper way to initialize these variables

I am using the bourne scripting langauge and would like to be able to set the "wc -l" (line count) as a variable in my script. can this be done?

I want to be able to make a for loop ranging from one going until the value returned as the line count. i tried
for ((i=1;i=wc -l;i=i+1))

but it doesnt seem to work. the logical conclusion is that i need to set the value which would be returned from the wc -l command as a variable.

Hi,

I need to run this query when a text link is clicked, then reload the current page, how can I do it:

In Access 2003, I have a table with two columns, in addition to the primary key ID columns. First column contains students' names and second column contains students marks. I am trying to create a query which would display name and marks highest scoring student. When I use MAX or MIN (for lowest scoring student) query displays only marks, and does not display the students name.

K so here is the code I am using:

Open Me.CommonDialog1.FileName For Append As #1
Write #1, txtGen.Text
Close (1)

commondialog1.filename is replaced where the user wants to save the file of course & txtGen.text is the text field of information to be stored.

But everytime it writes to the txt file it puts the information in quotes and that just won't cut it for what I want. I need it quoteless.

Can someone make me an image tag (a bunch of picures put into one with quotes/text) if I provide the images and words?? I think it requires something like photoshop, and I don't have it, so...yeah.

I have data in column A, B, and C. I want to search text "X" in column A and search text "Y" in column B, if in the same raw, column A ="X", and column B = "Y", then I want the value of column C. (if "X" and "Y" are not in the same raw, that's not wanted)
