Can you do a File-Export- then choose your file type and where you want it to be saved...not sure if that works in Photoshop...but it does for Studio MX.

When you are finished editing the pic in photoshop choose "save as" on the File menu and change type of file - underneath where you type the name - from PSD to JPG.

Can we assume you have already tried the obvious: Save as... change the format to JPEG? If you tried that and the option for JPEG was not in the list, the image must be in 16 bit mode. Go to Image > Mode > 8 bits/channel. Now try it again. After the save, you may want to keep the original quality for some later purpose. In that case, when you close the original file, it will ask if you want to save it. Choose "Don't save" and it will remain 16 bits/channel.
You can also choose "Save for web" and then change the preset to JPEG. The save will automatically change the mode to 8 bits/channel. Later, you will still have the option not to save the original if you want to keep a 16 bits/channel original.

if you 'save as' you should get a box that allows you to name the file and below that, there is a place you can click and get a list of formats to choose from, so you pick jpg as your format. if you don't get options, it may be you used layers. if you have layers in your image you have to save as a psd file, until you merge the layers. all layers have to be merged into one layer to save as a jpg or any other format.

You may want to say save for web. Or i think just in the Save box towards the bottom you can change the file type.

When you do "Save As" you pick the format from the drop down menu...and pick jpeg. I think it also needs to be flattened too, if it has layers...but not sure.
