I have a problem with a program that just freezes when you enter a request that is not in the database.
I can't find anything on the net that deals with this sort of problem.
I would like to put the functionality of detecting the non existence of the data in the database and dealing with it without crashing the application.
I'm trying to implement a java program that accesses an MS Access database and retrieves the data. I use java.sql.* package and jdbc.
All the other functionalities work (retrieving and updating data) but I haven't been able to resolve this bug.

Can I use some sort of check to find a specific font on the client machine when loading a web site and if that font is not found, install the font with little to no interaction with the user? Is this type of behavior seen as malicious on unethical? I would like to use a specific font, however most will not have this font installed and I don't want to default to Times New Roman.

I have this long list of items that i want to display(along with their codes). I can't put them inside a combobox, because they're a bit long for that, So i thought of only puting their codes in the combobox and display the descriptions using tooltips but i dont know how, does anybody have any solutions for this? thanks!

I just paid for a web domain for my business through geocities and edited it through pagebuilder. Since I bought the domain name and upgrade and changed it from geocities/mywebpage to www. mywebpage .com the pictures on the index (home) page will not come up for me when I go to the link. The other page comes up fine.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? I went back and rechecked the page on pagebuilder and it looks good when I save it.
