Internet - May 2007

When I type a website in the URL bar, nothing comes up. For instance, lets say I visit yahoo or google... Normally when you start typing in the website again the drop down list comes up and you can just click to it... It doesnt do that anymore, I deleted and tried reinstalling Internet Explorer and still nothing... I dont even clear my history or anything and nothing shows up. When I click on the drop arrow, it shows the sites, but it doesnt drop down when I type stuff in the url box. It works for Mozilla though.

Also, if I'm on AIM and someone sends me a link, nothing happens when I click. I have to copy and paste it in my browser. The browser doesnt automatically popup when I click on it.

any ideas?

so i want to get a account for ebay so i can sell somestuff...and it says that they need my checking account information..if my account is in the negative can i still use it or will i have to wait for it to get back in the positive...and if i cant use my checking account can i use a credit card or something cause i really need to start selling asap cause all of the other auction sites r not working unless u know some good sites to go to...so please can somebody help me..thanks

If any of you do, I was wondering if it worked well. I have been thinking of buying one for a long time. I have an airport card in my computer already. Some people tell me I won't pick up the internet but other people love it. I need some feed back!

Hi,
I want to host my website and I want that when someone type in Google "pets", my company is shown the first in the result list.

What do I have to do? does it depends of the hosting company? of the number of visit? I do not know and would be very helpful to see comments about this.

although i have tried most of the browsers there is,apart from internet explorer and firefox,opera and netscape,are there any other decent browsers?
the main reason for this question is around weeks after i re-install windows internet explorer starts to play up,pages wont finish loading and generally its a unusable browser
i really need a reliable,fast and good looking browser,with good security and add-ons
firefox has allways been my second browser,but i need a defualt browser
any ides guys?

When trying to listen to, say, stremed Radio 5 on my Apple Mac I often get a message saying that the content has been blocked. When using the same Apple Mac in the UK this never happens. Is there anything I can do or any package I can use to allow my to listen to streamed BBC radio from Germany?
