I want to have a loading pop up before my myspace shows up. How can I do that? Also I want to know a good software to make my own beats? lastly how do I make my myspace a music page?

I am visiting a very remote area of my country Nepal where facilities such as cellphone network, telephone network, are not present. All that is present is electricilty.
I am taking my laptop with me, a simple laptop with no wireless internet add-ons.
Can you please tell me how i can connect to the internet from such an area. What kind of hardware is rewuired and how should I configure them?
I need to use internet for just emails and nothing else.
The purpose is very much important and i am leaving day after tomorrow so please help me.

There is somthing wrong with my computer the sound on my Instant messanger dont work and trying to listen to music on something like myspace it doesnt work but when i play downloaded songs they work and also if i watch a video on youtube it has no sound like my internet just has no sound at all but the computer does its weird and it only happened like 3 days ago and it wont come bak msn doesnt have sound nore does myspace or youtube but things like i tunes and windows media player does

Hi,

I have always been curious as to how cable companies operate their infrastructure. How does management work? How are they able to login to modems? What sort of back end equipment do they use? Are most cable network's fiber until the neighborhood? How much bandwidth do they actually have? How are the modems individually controlled (is it IP based, for instance)? How far away can the modems be from the substation?

Thanks for any info!

P.S. I am not asking this information for any type of malicious purpose, I am quite happy with my cable company and am simply curious as to how they operate.

To encourage a friend of mine, I bought him a website who is a soon to be up and coming comic. I can't find any links that help me to actually put something on it - how do I do that?
It's www.RAJisFUNNY.com - it has an UNDER CONSTRUCTION page with links, but they don't help me do anything.
