Internet - September 2006

I had asked this question before and didnt find a solution, I have real player and windows media player, RP is my default player ,but sometimes I want to use media player and I cant do this because RP starts playing the file on its own , answerers in this section told me to right click on the file and choose (play with) ,but when I do so I dont see the words play with, I only see open or open a new window, and real player plays the file, any further suggestions would be appreciated. As for real player too, when I want to listen to a certain song I get two options , listen or download the song ,so does download means that the song is saved on my hard disk and I can listen to it any time,but when I download songs I cant find them even when I explore my hard disk or in real player so where would downloaded songs be kept ?

I used to spend minutes-hours daily for some 3-4 years now.as my telephone was disconnected due to bills,i began spending times internet cafes.th cost is twice or tri-times and and the comfort and privacy is incomparable as i surf at home.Anybody found in the sme addiction?
Is it normal?
and how can i resist myself from spending a day without it.

I have or had a Gmail account and just two days ago when I went to sign in, it told me my account was disabled and it told my Dad and a good friend of mine the same thing. Is this happening to every Gmail user? Please let me know. Thanks!!

I am trying to get my web site up and running. However: when I upload the programs they don't appear on the site. All doc's have been converted to html's but it says the name has to be turned into an html? The title was written into the web site it's self?

everytime i visit a new site by typing the name of the site in the internet address bar the name of the site is automatically stored.Anybody in future can visit the site just by clicking the site name from the stored address bar list.How can i erase the site name from the address bar list?

I know that I can go to explorer/tools/ and clear my history that way. But does that completely erase all trails? Is there another way that someone could still find my internet history? Don't worry, not doing anything illegal, but I'd rather not have nosy people poking through my business.

If nobody would pay for using email, what are the alternatives that can be used to make sure (mandatory) users of free email dont get the impression of a "free lunch at the cost of OPM"?
- Postulate that, users of free email should vote on ideas from WhyNot.org-style suggestions and be able to write feedback on what is their version of how they see it?
- Take product surveys from national and international brands and provide market data which Yahoo will sell to the companies to recover the cost of free email.
- Pass a series of visual tests designed to build brand awareness, product awareness, etc by proving "I understood what capitalism is all about and how my free email is being paid for by OPM". For example, when shown the logo of BMW it must be able to be identifiable in multiple choice format whose logo it is.
This will educate the users rather than making them take Yahoo for a free ride by making them serve Yahoo first to continue receiving free email?

I want to publish my new website and needed a host.The host requires some fee(~$4-6) to be paid online using visa/master card.However as I am in Africa and no such service .
-can i buy a VISA/MasterCard by proxy from where it is available ?
--how much does it cost?because i may need it for other transactions in the future.
