I have or had a Gmail account and just two days ago when I went to sign in, it told me my account was disabled and it told my Dad and a good friend of mine the same thing. Is this happening to every Gmail user? Please let me know. Thanks!!

I've been checking my account frequently, and I haven't received messages like that.

In the Google Mail Help Centre, there is an article about why some accounts may be locked (supposedly because of "abnormal usage that may indicate that your account has been compromised"):

That may be the case, as far as I know.

It has happened to one friend of mine. But she said that she tried to operate the account only after Jan 22, this year. May be because of the time of inoperation, they have started doing so?
