Who decides the cost of a ride? Who decides whom to buy fuel from? And does that same person decide whom to buy buses and trains from? What criteria are taken into effect? So many employers value an MBA, but can those with liberal arts degrees succeed in this industry in areas other than customer service? I enjoy trains (commuter mostly) but I just don't know what to do with my interest? Government agencies often baffle me. Can anyone guide me as to how I can proceed? Thanks,

I am aware that the CTRL will be available for domestic commuters in 2009, yet can only find info relating to the Ebbsfleet terminal. Surely it will start at the coast or perhaps Ashford. I am particularly intersted in how this will impact on Folkestone, Kent

Is it okay to take a fairly large suitcase on a train?
I don't usually travel on trains and I'm worried about where i'll put it and if it will be safe i.e if it has to be left near the door someone might steel it!

CN Rail is a privately owned railroad that is controlled by a Board of Directors who have reduced the workforce in order to increase profits. CN used to be a Canadian Crown Corporation Company and has since been taken over by E. Hunter Harrison and his Illinois Central Railway. While the name Canadian National must remain in order to satisfy legislative requirements, the majority of the Board are citizens of the United States. CN once employed over 125,000 people for just it's Canadian operations, while it now has just over 24,000 employees for it's entire North American Network.
