Can't answer all your questions, you can easily do a google search and get them yourself or are you just trying people out?
All I can remember about this film is that it made me laugh! The delightfully dotty and wonderful Will Hay as a station master sent to some remote railway in the (then) Irish Free State. Is this the film where they discover another set of lines, the train runs out of fuel and they end up burning all sorts of rubbish to keep the train going? Probably confusing it with half a dozen similar films!
