I am going to take my car to a big name electronics store to get a reciever installed. How long should I expect them to take?

I have built my own sub box and when i listen to music it shakes on my floor which messes up the sound i am getting from it. I also have 2 Power Acoustic 4'by 6' inside the same box which are stuck to the box using screws. I am positive they are not the cause but my 12' Kicker comp is. This is a home audio speaker set i have built. It is 27 and 1/2' tall by 17 and 1/2' big.

i have two type x alpine 12" subs pushing 3000w a piece. i need an amp to make these bump but im having a hard time finding a amp to make my system perfect. i went to a car stereo store by my house today and saw a amp made by a company called "BOSS" but i dont no bout them. it said on the display it could handle 5000W so im thinkin bout it. any help would be nice

Got a jl audio stealth box in my quad cab dodge. I like the sound but would like a bit more for when i want to get on it. anyone have any advis on whether the jump is worth the cost? It'll end up running close to 1600 by the time i get the box built and everything. Im leary about dropping that kind of money then ending up not happy with the quality of the sound. I was looking at running them with a alpine pdx-1000 due to space requirements. And i got morel ovations all around up from so im not too worried about over powering the rest of the system.

I have 2 6x9" Sony Xplod speakers at the back of my car and just the basic stock front ones. Ive been told that I just need 6" speakers in the back bcos of the size of my car. its a Daihatsu applause 1990. Thanks!

I wired in a Fusion sub and amp to my Vauxhall Vectra, and after 2 hours the car battery was flat. The amp is apparently wired up correctly, so does anyone have any other ideas as to what is wrong?

i have a 06 nissan sentra and i'm thinking about putting a sound system in my car. i just want some clear and crisp sound with a thumping base, nothing to tear my car off of the frame though. I thought about putting a 1000w amp and two 12's in the back but i dont know if that would be too much for my car to handle. Do you guys have any suggestions?

mt radio is locked after i had to clear an epc fault by disconecting the battery.
its showing a small number 2 in he left corner and the word SAFE Iin the centre. I have pressed prog and no joy , its been like this for 24 hrs now

I have a Pioneer deh-p6800mp car stereo and a MP200 Sansa MP3 player. Can I play my mp3 player directly through my deh-p6800mp or do I have to use a FM Transmitter? I have an FM Transmitter but quality isn't great. Thanks.

ok i put 2 jvc 12 subs in a s 10 and a 1200 watt pyrimid amp i hooked it all up and it wasnt in the dash i took it all off and put it in the dash and it will not work i changed a poped fuse on the main and on the radio its self all of the wires are correct and none are touching whats the matter with it

I installed new pioneer speakers last weekend, used them all week. and this weekend, since i have some time off from work i decided i was going to install a new Dual XDM7510 dash radio that i asked for for christmas. I bought a wiring harness -saudered the correct wires -insulated the wires -attached the wiring harness to the new radio and attached the harness to the factory wires that attached to the factory radio. Plugged the new attenna from the radio into the cars antenna connector and then put rubber caps on the amplifiers outputs because i dont think i needed them because im waiting till next weekend to install my amp =x mounted the radio -reattached the neg term to the battery and started the car. radio turned on, but there was no sound coming out from my speakers. Turned the ignition key to ACC and got the radio clearly -turned it to ON and got nothing, turned the engine on and got nothing again. When i tried to turn it back to ACC, i couldnt get it to play again.Thanks4thehelp

I have a 1995 pontiac grand prix and tried to install the cb off of the battery, The truckers that could BARELY hear me say that I have a lot of interferrence when I transmit and it is hard to hear/ understand me. I do know that I need another antenna, but do not know what to do to better the reception of my cb. Can NE one help me?
