Does it seem like just a game. Some times news is bad but good and good is bad for stocks. If your short selling anyway, which most are, does it really matter things like "business news?" Do you think this is just part of the deception in which way a stock is going to move?

On Yahoo! news, I read an article about how pennies may be worth five times as much as they are now. Is it worthwhile to "invest", so to speak, in this by exchanging monetary values at the bank for pennies, saving the pennies, then exchanging them when the actual transition occurs?

I work a 9-6 shift and I get paid $13.00 , but I have a wage garnishment that makes me get about $500 every 2 weeks after taxes and benefits. Not to mention I have bills: rent, gas, food, phone bills, etc, including unexpected troubles. I often have to ask for money for food and gas to get back and forth to work. I don't like to spend money so i try to hold onto every penny I have, so I don't go shopping, I don't go to the hair salon, I don't buy cd's or magazines or go out to dinner, don't go to concerts, vacations or any of those other things that cost money. People ususally think that I am just being cheap or I am saving my money. I look for evening jobs but they usually want me to start my shift a 6pm but I'm still at work. What can I do? I don't have any funds for an unexpected emergency. My wage garnishment will last for 1 more year. I am getting desperate.

I'm not sure if I am correct on this, but I think that limited supply with unlimited demand shows that once supply is depleted, there wouldn't be any more supply. However, "More wants than supply" does not limit the amount of supply providable. If demand increases, simply increase supply to keep up with it. Please let me know your opinion on this.

I'm 23, and unsure of where to put my 401k money.

What percentages should I put into the various types of funds (i.e. Large-Cap Growth, Small-Cap Growth, Large-Cap Value, International funds, bonds, stable value, etc.)?

A co-worker who is a somewhat experienced investor suggets 50% Large-Cap Growth, 25% in the Vanguard 500, and 25% in stable value. That seems a bit conservative to me, considering my youth.

What asset allocation percentages would YOU suggest? And why?

I'd like to invest a little money while I'm still in college. I'll be graduating in about a year and a half, and I have a little bit saved up. I thought it might be smart to invest it rather than just hold it in a normal savings account. I'm looking for something with low-risk, and not neccesarily something that I have to pay attention to EVERYday. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
