Here's a good one for you. Do you believe it would be a good idea to teach in school how to interact between insurance agencies and the medical community?

My 2000 Ford Explorer was rear ended by a tractor trailer. There was only a scratch on my bumber. The tractor trailer was only going about 5 mph. My neck has been bothering me since the accident so I'm seeing a chiropractor now. I'm wondering if it's even possible for me to get the other guy's car insurance company to pay my chiro bills, since the accident resulted in little damage to my vehicle.

They usually dont have any fees (annual or funds) attached to them like VAs do. And they dont have the downside risk since they are not actual funds. Granted they dont have the diversity that a VA with 15 different funds has, but for a basic need for someone who is afraid of the market to begin with, it sound pretty good. Your thoughts?

I've consulted my insurance company about insuring my personal property and said I need a renters insurance, but I own my home. I am confused. Isn't it what I need is a homeowners insurance? or renters insurance applies with owning a home too?

My house is now worth substantially more than it was when I purchased it a few years ago. At the time of purchase, I had the house insured for the appraised value. Now it is worth tens of thousands more. I'm concerned that I would lose all of this equity if there was a disaster like fire that destroyed the building. Is it wise to increase the amount of coverage now and if so, is it usually neccessary to have another appraisal done or do insurance companies simply allow a homeowner to get coverage in any amount they desire?

I'm under the impression that if I insure a package at the post office for $500.00 and that package is lost, I will receive $500.00 regardless of it's value. I paid the fee for that amount of insurance.

I had great health insurance, but was fired from my job because I had a baby. My choices were: COBRA or another policy.

I plan on having another baby next year. There is NO insurance that will cover pregnancy, which was a $40,000 procedure the last time I gave birth. YES, they say they cover pregnancy, but there is a big BUT: They don't cover it within the first 2 years of your subscription.

I took the cobra. It is fantastic, and covers my pregnancy...BUT BUT BUT.....it costs $400 per month.

This is absolutely horrendous. It should be illegal to refuse to cover a woman's pregnancy, especially if she is paying for her insurance.

Of course, all these super-saver insurance deals have come up, but it doesn't save anything. There are $4,000 deductibles for families. How does that save money, when they already have to pay a monthly premium? My health insurance (for me alone...not my husband or daughter) is almost HALF my income.

Something is seriously wrong.
