I need some advice. I recently graduated college with a BS in computer science. I also recently moved to a big city. Now in the two months that I have lived in this city I have not been able to find a job and I know why. I do not have any relevant technical job experience. I worked at a video store for 4 years and a call center for one. Any job that I have looked at, entry level or not, only wants people with at least one year exp.

Here is where i need some advice. I know I could get a job at Best Buy's geek squad, although I really do not want to. I hate retail and I know that geek squad is a total rip off. They do pay well though and the way things are going I might end up having to work there. I need an entry level IT job that doesn't require any experience so I can GET experience. Any suggestions?

I really want to have a successful career as an electronic engineer. I'm currently working as an electronic technician now, but I'm not happy with this job because it is mostly assembly work. When I first got my AA degree in electronics, I was a little curious about the field because there was such a broad range of things that you could do. I switched three jobs and I am on my fourth one now. I stayed at the previous jobs from 6 to 8 months each. I really want a component level testing job. That's why I'm thinking of quiting this one, but I worry that being an electronic technician is irrelevant to being an electronic engineer. I know that many engineers never had a trouble shooting background. I wonder if I should switch jobs or just wait until I receive my BA in about 10 months. I know it looks bad to jump from job to job.

I began a new employment almost 5 months ago. I had an young immature, super stubborn, cocky programmer who lacked the basics and didn't do things in a proper manner. When I talked to a "lead" guy about it, he didn't care and didn't want to get involved. The "lead" guy pretty much didn't care, and all he wanted to do was hide behind his monitor and be left alone.

So, in trying to do the what's right, I got stabbed by these incompetent guys.

Does anyone have similar experience in trying to do really what's right and got blamed for it?

I am 14-years-old and am looking to get a job in the tech industry that will allow me to create some contacts for future purposes... I live in Austin, TX where the following companies are located: Dell, AMD, Samsung, Toshiba, GSD&M, and 3M. I am enrolled in the local magnet school that has very good credentials and has an excellent tech department where I will be able to develop my technological skills. I have no previous experience in resumes or jobs except for some construction so I was hoping to find some help here with writing it. I am very detail-oriented and committed to most anything I do... Please help! (I have basic knowledge in most Microsoft apps, but very little in HTML and none in any other programming language.)

Customization often appears to be the best of the both worlds, developing your own software application versus buying a complete software package. The concept is that the only work the enterprise will need to complete is a little tweaking for the product to work. Why is this a risky strategy? What factors contribute to the risk?

Hello, and thank you for checking this out.

I currently have an associates degree in accounting and I am having a hard time finding a job... every employer seems to want experience in the accounting field and I have none.

I am getting ready to start my undergraduate program in accounting and now I am wondering about getting a job after I receive my bachelors degree.

Do you think it will be easier / harder to find employment in the accounting field with a bachelors degree and NO experience?
