A data entry job means you sit a desk and type information from one document into a database or something similar to that. There are data entry jobs that can be done at home, but they are few and far between.

As for safe, carpal tunnel, stiff shoulders and strained eyes are the worst things that can happen to you.

I have personally been doing a bit of research on work from home companies for about 4 1/2 months now and i"ve run into quite a few good companies that you can do in your spare time and earn a stable income.People who work for these companies generally are college students, stay at home moms, retired persons, people looking for a second or third income. I have been scammed by a few companies as well I have all information posted on my blog for people looking to work from home I also have a list of companies to watch for. Most people think that if they charge a fee then its a scam but my research has proven to differ. Believe it or not most of the scams that I've been through were free to join you can view more info here

If you are an accomplished typist - word processor and have recently visited your local city college or university librarian, you can apply as a "certified" graduate typist, earning between $1.50 to $2.00 per page for a master or doctoral thesis. The librarian will provide you with a sample of the typing template (i.e., margin settings, font selection, page set up, etc.) in order to complete these projects. An average weekend income is about $300-$400 for two days work.

Good luck!

Don'y try online data entry. I have tried them personally and they do not work well. I recommend you to try online surveys instead. They are fun, interesting and you get your opinions counted. But the best part is that you make money while having fun!

I have joined free survey programs in the past such as treasuretroopers, ripwallet but they do not offer too many survey opportunities to make enough money.

Then I joined paid survey programs such as Survey Scout, Expresspaidsurvey, Survey Savvy. Many were scams because the list of survey companies in their directory were outdated.

I only managed to make a decent amount of money after joining the recommended survey program through this link (You can watch a video of the program here). The program offers 760 legitimate paid survey companies for you to choose from.

Inside the members area, they will give you a step-by-step guidance to your survey business so it is quite impossible that you do not make money.

It cost about $40 to join but I recover that amount on the 2nd day of joining after completing several surveys.

Internet is so essential nowadays that it becomes a part of your daily regular. You can read the newspaper, look at your email, upgrade your Facebook status, buy online for Christmas gifts, Skype with friends, search on Google and so on however the most important is that you can also get a daily paid job, a job where you get paid easily with no headache.

Zeebarista gives you a definition of the job - there are fewer of these jobs than there were 20 years ago, even in office settings, but they do exist.

The ones you find advertised on the Internet are scams.

I wanted to see what it was too because I saw an add on craigslist.org, so I paid them $20 to get a packet of "junk", pretty much it's a pyramid business...

I have to get people to send me $20, and pass on the packet of junk that I get, and that's how I am supposed to make money...

If you would like I can send you what I received (at no cost) via email... just so u can see how big of a scam it is... I was really upset, but I can assure you, I've learned my lesson.

every post on this question so far is completely accurate. It's safe, but most are fake jobs.
