Is there actually something on the computer that can let an average person like me to make money with?

I would like tomake money with my computer and I dont want a scam like job, i want a real job on the internet. Can anyone help me I am in need and disabled or I would go out and get a job,but ssi wont give it to me...N E Ways. so help please.. web sites or info would be great!

There are probably thousands of people for any one job that might be done from home. Phone sex operators or often from home and a few companies might have order takers work from home or have call centers at home to support a product. Finding those jobs would be hard. The easiest way to work from home is to have a job then talk the employer into letting you do it from home.
People who are looking for you are looking to scam you.
If you have skills you can start a business like accounting that can perhaps be done at home or preparing tax returns. If you aren't housebound you could go pick up and drop off work but then you may as well do it on site.

I don't know the level of your disability or ability.

One idea I have considered eBay as a reasonable way to make money from selling things on the web, find a source of products to market and more or less 'wholesale' the items to eBay buyers.

Also there are help desk positions, like technical advisors, maybe you could qualify for educational/vocational rehabilitation grants/funds for schooling.

Or maybe start developing web sites as a hobby and it could grow to a business. Contact organizations that assist disabled persons to see if they have an recommendations as to how to earn a living from home.

Telecommunications jobs utilize home workers to make phone calls, receive orders, do customer service etc...

Search the web for things like I have mentioned and follow through with detailed questions to the appropriate persons in authority.

I had a friend that did psychic readings/tarot card/etc... she had plenty of work from 900 number callers and they paid around $15-20 an hour for talking with people about these things. (this was in the 90's) I know, a little hokey?

But there are lots of opportunities for people to do things from home or online, just depends on how capable you are, what resources you have, what you are willing to do (morally and ethically) and how hard you search for the right opportunity.
I would start out with not for profit or non-profit orgs that assist people with your disability, ask them to lead you to other places that can help you. Then dig, dig, dig for information from those you contact. Always ask whomever you speak with if they can refer you to something else or more. Then leave no stone unturned for how, what when where and why!
