I work for the local news paper and my boss is expecting me to pitch her my ideas for a Christmas supplement on Monday. I don't have many ideas. So far all I have is a contest for people to create their own Christmas carols, and submitting local recipes. It's supposed to be a little booklet with many different things in it. Any ideas out there? I need something creative. Thank you.

I am looking for a TV advertising channel to advertise to the public a new website launch (For Europe and USA but start with Europe). I need quotes for Airtime and cannot seem to find ANYTHING on GOOGLE or yahoo, except 1 guy who explains how to advertise or something. Have any of you advertised before and know rough quotes?

And yes i know its expensive, but thats not a problem.

Hi im a personal trainer on long island new york. i need some really good marketing ideas tohelp get my business blooming. Just for the record i alread know about passing out flyers. I invented a friendly environment concept to do with Christmas ornaments.
I have created a basic proto type, and build a web site to launch it when it’s ready.
I need some technical help with the development of the final product ( involving optic fibre, and copper pipes) I wonder if you can suggest the appropriate line of action taking into consideration time (pre Christmas) , and secrecy (whom can i trust not to nick my idea).

Having insomnia I found the Lunesta commercials cruel. They are typically played in the evening when people are trying to wind down. They were longer than most ads. The ads remind you of all the things that can keep you up at night and how crappy you feel in the morning. A person with insomnia who is trying to relax doesn't need to be reminded of all that. I got to the point where I just muted the TV when the ads came on and left the room so I would see that stupid green butterfly. I told my doctor I was doing this and he agreed. I've noticed recently Lunesta has changed their ads somewhat. I still mute them.

My question:
Do you think it was a bad idea to alow pharmaceutical to be advertised on TV? Afterall it's not just a toy. It's something that directly affects health and study after study has been done showing the brainwashing effect many TV ads have.

Also, when categorizing this question, why do I have to choose search engine options under advertising& mkting?

I'm from Cleveland, Ohio and need to find some kind of work. The work I would like to do such as Accounts Payable is getting too high tech and I don't have the experience. So I would like to go grocery shopping and run errands for others who are unable to do this. I tried an ad in the paper and it was misunderstood....they thought I was looking for someone to shop for me.
