I'm thinking permanent cure here without rebonding or any of that stuff.

My hair is short - about an inche above my shoulders and I really want long hair now to mark the change in life but somehow I cannot do this because of my flyaway hair. When a fan or a light brush of air brushes thru my hair, it messes up already. What to do?

PS. If there is no other cure for this - tell me, even any of those rebonding kinda stuff. (My hair is virgin)

I don't know much about these people, but I have seen them a couple of times on movies and TV. Aren't all of them African American? So, how come they don't have the african type of hair? They all have regular hair like most people in this world. I am interested to know. Please don't think I am racist or anything. I just want to know.

My 3 yr. old cousin cut off a chunk of my hair in the back as close to my head as possible and my hair used be long! ive been hiding it with a ponytail because i cant stand cutting all that hair! I have caucaison hair to the middle of my back and I want something funky and completely different for me. Normally I just chop off all my hair, bob it and blunt cut the ends.
I want to get loose med dreads (not braids, round dreads). I live in the Colunbus, Ga/Phenix City, AL area and I have no idea where to go. I've been looking everywhere and most places stick to African American hair. I don't trust myself to do it myself I know they have to be tight and I don't have a clue about doing it well.
Anyone have any suggestions for someone good? -I think I can pull it off but I don't want to go somewhere bad and look like a jackass.
PS Don't get political on me, I don't give a crap what you think I just want a good place to go.
