1) There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie. They come in one size, per the standard-'not to exceed 7 lbs.' There are no subcategories based on size. It's a term used by shady breeders to describe dogs bred to be extremely small with no regard to structure, standard or health. If you had bothered to research the breed at all, you would be well aware of this as well as the negative connotations associated with the term. I would suggest that before you actively try to acquire a dog, you educate yoruself on the breed FIRST! It will benefit you in the long run--how are you going to select a quality dog if you don't know anything about the breed? 2) Yes, they are expensive--for a reason! Ethical breeders producing well bred dogs have lots of expensese to cover: registration fees, grooming and whelping supplies, food, stock, vet bills, medical testing, vaccinations, etc. It adds up. No responsible breeder is going to cut corners or take a loss just so you can get a "cheap" dog. If your funds are limited, check with shelters and rescues. Otherwise, save up until you can afford one, just like eeeeeveryone else.
